Questions, answered

Everything you might want to know about our water, our bottles, and how delivery works.

About the Water
Is Icelandic Glacial water really from Iceland?

Yes. Every bottle is sourced from the Ölfus Spring on the southwest coast of Iceland — one of the largest natural springs in the world. We share this premium water using environmentally sound practices, and it is exceptional in quality, taste and purity.

Are your bottles BPA free?

Yes — our bottles are 100% BPA free. We deliver exclusively in premium glass, which is non-toxic and non-leaching, so the water stays pure and uncontaminated. Unlike plastic, glass never releases chemicals over time, and it is fully sustainable and recyclable.

Is it alkaline water? What is the pH level?

Icelandic Glacial has an uncommonly high, naturally occurring pH of 8.4, making it alkaline. That alkalinity comes from nature — filtration through lava rock — not from additives. Many other "alkaline" waters use sodium bicarbonate or calcium chloride to raise pH artificially.

What is the TDS level?

It has a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of 62 ppm. That sits right in the mineral sweet spot: you still get the beneficial minerals and nutrients naturally found in spring water, without the heavy taste that comes with higher-mineral waters.

What minerals or additives are in the water?

Nothing is added. Only naturally occurring minerals such as calcium, magnesium and sodium are present. Harmful chemicals like fluoride are never present in, or added to, the water.

Why buy this when I have tap water at home?

Not all water is the same. Depending on the source, water carries different levels of minerals, dissolved solids and acidity, which directly affect its taste and benefits.

Tap water varies significantly and can pick up environmental contaminants; chlorine is often added to combat them, which affects taste. Icelandic Glacial is powerfully filtered through volcanic rock for exceptional purity and a crisp, clean finish, with a naturally occurring pH of 8.4 — and it is tested daily in a state-of-the-art lab against the most stringent international standards.
